This June, I’m heading back to Papua New Guinea with YWAM Medical Ships Kona, serving as a registered nurse in remote communities where healthcare can be hours—or even days—away. We’ll be offering a variety of clinic options: outpatient care, routine eye exams, immunizations, prenatal care, family planning, community education, and support to those who often walk this journey alone.
But, what I plan to bring goes beyond medicine!
I plan to bring ears that truly listen. Hands that serve gently. Conversations that honor Christ, not just symptoms. To come alongside—not above—offering tools and knowledge in ways that respect culture and language. It’s in these quiet moments of connection that trust is built. And when trust takes root, hope can grow.
In everything I do, I want my heart to reflect Jesus—to show His love through the way I care, listen, and serve. Sometimes that means simply being there, quietly carrying His peace into places where it’s deeply needed.
I’ll be honest—asking for support isn’t easy. It feels vulnerable. But I know I’m not meant to do this alone. It’s the kindness, encouragement, and prayers of people like you that help carry this mission forward. I wouldn’t want to do this without you!
